What is RedLight Therapy
Infrared light is the invisible part of natural sunlight.
Although it is actually light, it is experienced as soothing, warm radiant heat (and sometimes referred to as infrared heat).
If you suffer from chronic pain, joint conditions, or long-term skin conditions, you may have heard that red light therapy can be helpful. A red light therapy bed can be customized to meet your needs, and it is believed to stimulate energy production within your cells. At the same time, how often should you be using a red light therapy bed? Some people only use red light therapy once per month, while other people might use it several times per week. It depends on the reason why you are using your red light therapy bed.
How long should your sessions be?
Before exploring the frequency of your sessions, it is critical to take a closer look at how long your sessions should be. If you are trying a RedLight Therapy bed for the first time, you should start low and go slow.
For example, you may only want to stay in the bed for approximately 10 minutes during your first session.
Then, once you figure out how your body responds to RedLight therapy, you can increase the length of your sessions if needed. If you feel like you aren’t seeing a significant difference, you may want to increase the length of your sessions to 15 to 20 minutes. Once you feel comfortable with the RedLight Therapy you can increase to the full sessions time of 40 minutes for the maximum result.
Infrared light can penetrate human tissue up to 2 inches and is therapeutic because it can be absorbed by our body and safely raise core body temperatures. Your core body temperature increases over 3 degrees (to over 102 degrees) after each 40-minute session. This self-induced “fever” (as we call it) results in a healthy, deep, and detoxifying sweat at the cellular level, where most toxins reside.
Remember that seeing a substantial difference in your health may take a few months.
